LOCAL & LODGING

There are countless things to see and do in the Hudson Valley all year round. Many sites are within driving distance of the farm.  Just to the north is Olana, the home and studio of artist Frederic Edwin Church. The 250-acre site houses Church’s paintings and sketches as well as his magnificent estate. Just across the river in Catskill is the house of Thomas Cole, original founder of The Hudson River School.  To the south and close to Rhinebeck is Poets’ Walk, a nice long walk through fields and shaded paths named for poets such as Washington Irving, who were known to have strolled in this area. The park features two miles worth of trails with footbridges, benches and cedar pavilions. We are happy to share our list of suggested accommodations, please let us know if you are interested!
